What to do if your washing machine leaks

3:19

If your washing machine is leaking, it doesn't automatically mean service. There are a few things you can check yourself to resolve the issue. Check the water supply hoses in the back to make sure they're connected right and in good condition; if they aren't, a simple replacement is all you need. Also make sure you're not overloading the washer or putting in too much detergent. And it's always a good idea to keep the washer level and make sure your drain hose is installed properly. Finally, front load models should keep their pump filter and door gasket clean. That should take care of most leaks, but if your leak continues, then it's time to request service.
