Installing your over-the-range microwave

4:35

With some measuring and maneuvering, you can easily install your Samsung OTR microwave. First, make sure there is plenty of space between cabinets. It needs at least 30 inches from the top of the opening to the cooktop surface, and you should allow at least 13-and-a-half inches between the range and bottom of the microwave for ventilation. If the measurements are good, start by positioning the mounting plate using the rear template, then attach it and make sure it’s level. Next, adjust the blower to your desired ventilation type. You can vent out the back, the top, or recirculate. Finally, prepare the top cabinet template. Get a friend to help before screwing the microwave into place. All that’s left is to plug it in! You got this!
