How to move an app to a microSD card on your Samsung Galaxy phone or tablet

0:32

If you notice you’re running out of storage space on your phone or tablet, it may be a good idea to toss in a microSD card and move some things, like photos, videos, or some of the many apps you’ve downloaded. Before you move anything, make sure you have a microSD card installed in your device. To move an app, open Settings, tap Apps, and then scroll to and select the app you’d like to move. Next, tap Storage, Change, SD card, and then tap Move. Keep in mind that some apps cannot be moved. You’ll be able to tell which apps can’t be moved to SD storage by their appearance. They will look grayed-out, and you won’t be able to select them.
