How to get your home ready for your new Samsung dryer

3:27

Congrats on your new dryer purchase! Before it’s delivered, it’s important to make sure your space is suitable. First, double check the measurements of your laundry space to make sure there is enough room for the depth and width of the dryer. If you’re going to use a pedestal, don’t forget to factor the height into your measurements. You’ll also need to make sure the space has proper ventilation and electrical hookups. If you purchased a gas dryer, be sure you have a professional install or modify gas lines, if needed. For electric dryers, you’ll need to purchase a dryer cord that matches your home’s outlet. We recommend having a professional installer or an electrician attach the power cord to your dryer for you. Next, inspect and clean your dryer exhaust. On the day of delivery, make sure you have a friend lend you hand when moving your dryer into place. For dyers with a steam feature, you’ll need to turn off your water supply and hook up the cold water. For all dryer’s, connect the exhaust to your vent using 4” metal ducting, and make sure there aren’t any excessive kinks or bends. Now, just level your dryer, and then plug it in and turn it on.
