Use SmartThings to control your TV

With the SmartThings app, you can easily control various aspects of your Samsung TV, like adjusting the volume to launching apps and switching between inputs. First, ensure that you've added your TV to SmartThings as a device, open SmartThings and tap the plus icon and Add; follow onscreen instructions to add. Once connected, select your TV from your devices and verify your device to connect. An on-screen virtual remote will appear that performs a variety of functions depending on your device and status The top part of the remote contains basic controls like power, navigation and search. In the lower section, use the customizable grid for typical remote functions like volume, channel, mute, and guide buttons. Long press in this grid to move, remove, or add any of these buttons as well as apps. Pull down the remote to access quick access controls. In the Home tab, you'll find quick access to some apps and curated content. Customize your TV’s ambient mode with art, photographs, information, and more. Add your device as a shortcut to your home screen for quick access to all these convenient features.
