If a customer is experiencing poor battery performance on their phone, the first thing to check is that the phone's software is up to date. If it is, the next step is to close unused apps, within the Settings menu, under Battery & Device Care. The options to look for are "Fix" or "Optimize Now". There may be a prompt to Show Apps Causing Issues, and an option to put them into Deep Sleep. Also under Battery & Device Care, users can set Background Usage Limits to put unused apps to sleep. Other optimizations users can perform are lowering screen brightness, using dark mode, and using Standard motion smoothing. As a last resort, users can also check their battery status in the Samsung Members app, under Support > View Test > Battery Status.
