Troubleshooting third party apps

1:16

We've all run into an issue where an app on our mobile device is crashing or freezing frequently, or simply not working correctly. So what are some steps you can take to fix it? The first step will always be to clear the app cache and performing a power cycle. If that doesn't work, you can always uninstall and reinstall the problematic app. It's also a good idea to make sure the app is updated to its recent version, and also that your mobile device is running the most recent software update as well. Checking the permissions is another way to guarantee compatibility, and that the app has access to all the information needed to operate properly. Occasionally your device may revoke permissions for apps that have not been used in some time, so this could be an issue if it's not one of your regularly used apps. The Google Play store and the Galaxy store also publish the app compatibility requirements, which is also another method to use to ensure your device can run the app in question. And if an app isn't available in one of these stores, it may be iOS-exclusive, in which case it will not run on your device! Contact the developer of the app with questions as a last resort.
