Screen record on your Galaxy phone to create instructional content

1:07

A Samsung phone can be a great tool for creating instructional content with screen recordings! On the iPhone, you have to search for a screen recording icon in Control Center. On the Galaxy, you have a few, quick choices for launching a screen recording. To start, swipe down with two fingers to open Quick Settings, and tap Screen recorder. Under Sound, choose None, Media, or Media and mic. Media and mic is best for when you want to commentate on something playing on screen. If you prefer a more instructional approach, you can turn on Show taps so that people can see where you’re tapping the screen as it records. When you tap Start recording, a pop up menu will appear in the upper-right portion of the screen. You can tap the pencil icon to make comments or notes, or the person icon to record yourself. If recording yourself, you can reposition your camera location on the screen by dragging. While recording, you can pause if you need to, and then just tap Stop when you’re done. Use your Samsung Galaxy to create engaging screen recordings for all those teachable tech-moments!
