Optimize your Galaxy phone to speed up performance
1:52
Free up memory and storage to get your Galaxy moving at full speed. It’s good practice to regularly optimize your phone’s battery, storage, and memory because it gets weighed down as time goes on. First, review its storage capacity to see if videos, images, and other files are piling up. You have a few options for freeing up space. Tap Optimize Now in Settings under Battery and device care to close background apps and boost battery life. Go into any individual category in the menu and delete installation files, downloaded documents and other items that will help your phone perform better. Your Galaxy can also perform periodic reboots to improve performance. All you have to do is tap Auto optimization. On the main screen, you can learn more about your phone’s memory usage. Manually stop background apps, either individually or all at once. Tap Clean now to close all selected apps. You can also tap RAM Plus and customize your virtual memory. With higher numbers, you can use more apps at once, while lower numbers will free up more device storage. Take advantage of the Device Care menu to improve your Galaxy’s performance!
