My TV won't power on!

1:37

If a TV won't power on, the first thing to check is the standby light. Normally, this is on when the TV is powered off, but off when the TV is powered on. However, it will also be off if the TV is not receiving power. If it's on and you've confirmed power, rule out issues with the remote by checking battery or charging levels and if those are confirmed good, try to power the TV on with the remote. If that fails, try the manual button on the TV. Still nothing? Try power cycling the TV for 30 seconds. If you see the TV's menu appear, you'll want to confirm all your source cables and the One Connect Cable if your TV has one. Finally, for stubborn issues, you can power cycle the One Connect Box, all external sources, and check your cables. If none of these troubleshooting steps solve the issue, you'll want to call for service.
