How to properly deep clean the inside of your Samsung refrigerator

5:21

Giving your refrigerator a deep clean every six months will help to keep it in tip-top shape. Since there are so many nooks and crannies that can easily hide spills and messes, you’ll need to remove all the food from inside of your refrigerator so you can really get in there and clean. So before you get started, make sure you have a cooler on hand to store your food until you’re done. Once the fridge is empty, remove the bins, shelves, and crisper drawers—in that order. Removing the bins first will make it much easier to remove the shelves. Don’t forget to remove the large bottom glass shelf as well. If you notice built-up gunk or spill residue between the glass and edges of the shelf, you can remove the glass and clean it separately. This can sometimes be a bit tricky so be patient and very careful. Also, if your refrigerator has a Cool Select Pantry or FlexZone, you’ll need to remove those as well, along with the ice bucket and freezer baskets. You can wash everything with a mild detergent, but for tougher stains and odors, you can use a bleach mixture of about a tablespoon of bleach per gallon of water. Don’t forget to clean behind your refrigerator, too. Once you’ve cleaned everything, reinstall all the shelves and bins, and restock your fridge.
