How to descale your Samsung oven

1:48

If your Samsung oven has a water reservoir and you use the steam cooking modes, descaling regularly is recommended. Running the Descale cycle helps to remove mineral build-up that may be affecting the taste of your food and your oven’s overall performance. The descale indicator will turn on to let you know when it’s time to descale your oven. This will be a message or a blinking descale icon on your oven’s display. You may even notice that your steam options are disabled. Descaling requires a descaling agent made specifically for steam ovens and coffee machines, and takes three hours to complete. Running the Descale cycle is simple. First, remove, empty, and clean the water reservoir. Next, fill it with the descaling agent and clean drinking water, and then place the reservoir back into the oven. Turn the Mode knob to Clean, and then select Descale. If your oven doesn’t have knobs, just tap Descale on your oven’s control panel. Finally, tap Start to begin descaling. Watch this video for full details.
