Keeping your Samsung washer and dryer clean

With regular maintenance, you can keep your washer and dryer looking good and running their very best! For your washer, it’s best to clean up any spills right away. Laundry detergent can create a more difficult mess if it dries. If it’s gotten to that point, use a wet, soft cloth to clean up the mess. You can even use a mild detergent for stuck on goop. Don’t forget about the detergent drawer when cleaning your washer. It can get a bit grimy with built up detergent, too. To clean it, just remove the drawer and give it a gentle scrub with some water. For tough stains, including ones inside the drum, use a stainless steel appliance cleaner, like Cerama-Bryte. Never use abrasive cleaners! To keep mildew at bay, remember to leave your washer door open after each wash cycle. If you’ve forgotten to do this, you can use bleach and run an empty cycle to kill any mold and odor. You can also just run a Self-Clean cycle! Self-Clean will clean your door seals as well, but it’s important to check them often and remove any debris or mold. Keeping your door seals clean helps to prevent leaks. For your dryer, rinse the lint filter periodically to get rid of any waxy buildup from your dryer sheets.
