How to get your home ready for your Samsung washer delivery
6:17
If you’ve recently purchased a new washer, there are a few things you can do before it’s delivered to ensure your washer transitions easily into your home. First, double check the measurements of your space. If you’re going to use a pedestal, don’t forget to factor the height into your measurements. Also, ensure that the floor where it will sit is solid and level. Next, check that the hot and cold water supplies have accessible shutoff valves, and make sure they are free of any rust or corrosion. Since washers are heavy and bulky, make sure you have a friend nearby to help out. When your washer is delivered, turn off your water supply, and if you purchased a front load washer, remove all the shipping bolts. Before moving your washer into place, connect the drain pipe and water supply hoses first. Now move your washer into place, and then level your washing machine using the leveling feet. Once that’s done, you can turn your water back on, plug in your washer, and run a calibration cycle to calibrate your washer’s weight sensor. Finally, run a test cycle to check for leaks.
